        I was once an aspiring reggae artist, who just couldn't get a break. I once roamed the reggae dance halls singing reggae tunes. I have also entered talent competitions, and submit demo cassettes to so called producers, but still couldn't get a break.  So you can imagine my first time at King Emmanuel's tabernacle on a Sabbath day, listening to the Spirits of God on the Alter when a voice said “Away with reggae, sackbut and dulcimer”. That startled me because I didn't understand, but later on in my growing up and my readings I came to understand that reggae is not the music of God. Subsequently, I dropped all my aspirations to become a reggae star.

        I want to make it clear that I have nothing personal against any reggae artist and it is not my intention to put anyone down, therefore I won't be using any names or organizations as I go along, but as a Priest of God I must tell the truth with no apology. Only the truth can set us free, JAH Rastafari. I am not saying that some of these artists aren't saying the words of God, or good words for that matter on the reggae beats, but reggae music is not the way to salvation. The negative impact of reggae music on our children, men and women cannot be associated with the works of Jah Rastafari. What I'll compare it to, is like giving someone good clean food in a dirty plate (dub plate), that food will definitely make him sick. Reggae music is not of our God and was never ever a part of the Black house of Israel. In the book of Daniel chapter three, you can read where Nebuchadnezzar created an image for the people to worship. And he brought out the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasures, the counselors, the sheriffs and everyone in the province to stand in front the image and at the sound of his music to bow down and worship it. Now at the sound of the music Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not bow and was cast into a furnace of fire. These three Hebrew captives never bow to Nebuchadnezzar's image and music, Jah Rastafari, neither will I.

       Reggae is not a spiritual form of music, it is very worldly. Let me quote the Kebra Negast (the Glory of Kings) – THE SIN OF CAIN – “ That accursed man Cain, the murderer of his brother, multiplied evil and his seed did likewise, and they provoked God to wrath with wickedness. They had not the fear of God before their eyes, and they never kept in mind that He had created them, and they never prayed to Him nor worshipped Him, nor call upon Him nor rendered service to Him in fear. They ate, drank and danced, and played upon stringed instruments and sang lewd songs; they worked uncleanness without law, without measure and without rule”.

       This tells you that the descendants of Cain were backsliders and did evil in the sight of God, the quote tells you that they ate, drank and danced to music played upon stringed instruments and sang lewd songs. The stringed instruments like guitars etc projects a negative, satanic energy, that takes man away from his God. There’s a famous painting out there of a white man some say it's David, but I know better and this man is playing an instrument looking like violin with strings. That image is so far from the truth, the ten string instrument is your ten fingers playing upon the Golden Harps (drums).

       Away with reggae music now and now, there's no Salvation in it for the Black House of Israel saith the Black Christ King Emmanuel. Our Father says " no reggae is to be played in Africa", reggae pollutes the peoples minds with its satanic beats. Remember the quote from the Kebra Negast that tell us of Cain and his descendants how they ate, drank and danced to music played on stringed instruments and sang lewd songs, the same thing goes on today in these reggae dancehalls and stage shows, nothing has changed.

        So call “roots rock reggae” is a Babylonian form of music adapted by Black people, this music brings out the worst in my people. I use to wonder why so many reggae singers die, cut off from their people. Who is not actually dead is either mentally sick, on drugs, rapists or gunmen. There is something definitely satanic about this music. It’s not only reggae, it’s all form of music that are played on stringed instruments. We have all heard of sex, drugs and rock & roll, that’s enough to tell you what rock & roll is all about, reggae is no different. “Born, born, born again, thank God am born again, born of the Water the Spirit and the Word, thank God am born again…” Jahovia Jah Rastafai. Reggae music brings out the worst in the people, it brings out the slackest behavior in them. It brings out the vulgarity, the filthiness, the degrading of our Black woman, the promotion of a gun culture. It is clear to see the result on our youths today, the way how they are disrespectful, misguided, placing emphasis on all the wrong things, and none on God Almighty. Reggae music is not the only problem, a lot of it is governmental and societal, but reggae music plays a major role in the degradation of Black people.

         Reggae music and its satanic beats that speed up every year cannot save our people. Guinness, Heineken, White rum and Liquor can only limit our people by keeping them in a drunken state. Every year this reggae beat gets faster and crazier, and as the beats gets faster and crazier so the people move faster and crazier. Reggae come to vibes, but you can’t vibes Jah, man must praise Jah. Mighty Jahovia Jah Rastafari. Reggae projects this negative energy that has been very harmful to our people, many have died, crippled, deformed with acid and stabbed in the dance halls. Many dance the night away, but their problems are still there in the morning.

         Another thing is the way some of these artists name themselves; they change the Babylonian name they got down here in Babylon, not to an Ethiopian name, but to a cartoon character or a Hollywood star. If I were to give you some examples of these names, believe me they would make you laugh the way some of these names are comical, but this is not about naming names or to belittle anyone but the truth is the truth, Mount Zion is a Holy place no sin can enter there. Ps 87 vs. 7 says:“As well the singers as the player on instruments shall be there; all my springs are in thee”. Many seem to think that this means that it’s some reggae singers playing their guitar etc, but this is the Royal Ethiopian Choir singing and Daniel #1 Band in the midst.

       God Yard is a principle place- Ten miles Bull Bay. It is easy for a man to say that he loves Jah, but if a man loves Jah he must keep Jah commandments. Most people can’t abide by God’s principles, therefore they become backsliders. One of the Principles that draw me to Bobo  Hill was the keeping of the Sabbath, everyone else had put away the Sabbath, but King Emmanuel (Dada) alone kept it Holy. Most people think the Sabbath is old and out dated, and was instituted to serve only in a time past, they couldn’t have been more wrong, the Sabbath is a perpetual covenant through out our generations, Exodus 31 vs 16.

         Today we can see the effects this satanic music has on our people, not only reggae but Hip pop, Calypso, Blues, Jazz, Rock & Roll etc. This music is turning our youths into gangsters, murderers, drug dealers, and addicts, the artist first then the youths follow. The artist these days set the trend for the youths, so these artist better watch the things they say and do for they will have to answer to the Almighty about leading His people astray. These artists are always chasing a life of glitz and glamour, but all that glitter is not gold. A lot of our youths are going astray because they are being taught by a bunch of cartoon characters, whose mouths spew out nothing but frogs. They teach the youths violence by glorifying it in their lewd songs, not all reggae artist does this, but even the ones that don't, they themselves must know that it’s only one Salvation Stand, and it’s the Black Christ Salvation.           Let's read Ezekiel 16 vs 27 " Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of your lewd way". Let's read Ezekiel 23 vs 49 "And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you,and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord God". So it is clear to see that our Father has no tolerance for such lewd behaviors, no lewdness can enter Zion. Reggae and all other forms of music, including Hip pop and more is to be put under feet, now and now Jah Rastafari.  Look what reggae dance hall is doing to the youths, it has them wearing a bunch of tight pants, tight shirts, colouring their hair and bleaching out their faces, please help them Jah.

          This an appeal to the Black House of Israel to come away from the dancehalls, there is no Salvation there. Our youths need more positive role models, most people don't want to abide by any principle, but our Father is a Principle God, Jah Rastafari. Remember reggae gather the people but in a wordly fashion, the people needs to be gathered at Negus feet in Righteousness of Salvation. Righteousness exalt the Nation, but sin bringeth a reproach. The Right Honourable King Emmanuel I was send and come to clean us up to send us home to our Heavenly Father in Ethiopia Africa, King Haile Selassie I . Remember no man goeth to the Father but through the Son, reggae music is dead and the reggae culture cannot take you to Zion.
